Passing his Recent AMGA
Certified Alpine & Rock Guide Jeff Ward,
an enthusiastic and very experienced guide, has guided for many years
Mountain Experience and on Mt Rainier working as a Senior Alpine Guide for
Rainier Mountaineering Inc. (RMI). At the moment, he has 75
successful ascents of Mt. Rainier. Jeff spends a good portion of his time
in guiding in Alaska, and he has guided in the
Wrangle St. Ellias, Chugach and Alaskan Ranges, with several expeditions
on Mt. McKinley (20,320’). In the winter, Jeff guides ice climbs in
Southwestern Colorado, In Jeff's "free time," he has climbed in South American, and enjoys knocking off routes up El Capitan (Zodiac, The Shield, Lurking Fear). Jeff’s climbing background includes all mediums, including rock, ice, alpine and high-altitude mountaineering, and has climbed many routes on some of the more challenging peaks in North America. He is a well-rounded climber and enjoys guiding every type of climbing. One of Jeff’s favorite parts of being a guide is being able to help people through difficult situations by teaching them the techniques necessary and encouraging them to succeed. mountaineering trips in South America and Mexico and teaches
alpine skiing in Telluride. He often gets away from the cold to guide and
climb in the warmer climates on challenging rock climbs. During the
spring, he leads adventure youth programs that focus on mountaineering and
wilderness skills in the North Cascades and Alaska.

and Rock guide tests, and is a certified ski instructor.
