![]() Jeff Rhoads Senior Guide,
Mountain Experience An awesome
guide with experience going back to the 1970s, Jeff Rhoads has guided many mountains
around the world. Over the years, hes led groups up many of the highest peaks,
including ascents in North and South America, and Asia. In 1998, he guided a Mt. Everest
expedition, where he summited the 29,028 peak twice from base camp, both summits
within 7 days of each other. On that
expedition, Jeff assisted Tom Whittaker, a disabled climber, in
documenting the ascent for CBS. An incredible achievement for all climbers. A
truly
awesome effort. Jeff has also climbed Nupste (25,000'+), one of the Western
Cwm peaks which sits next to Mt. Everest.
He's also been a videographer on three other Everest trips in '89, 97' and '99, making a total of 4 trips to Everest. He has also climbed Hidden Peak (Gasherbrum II in '99) and attempted K2 in 2000, both peaks located in Pakistan. As an active rock climbing guide, he's led many trips into several ranges and areas along the west coast and Pacific Northwest. Jeffs spare time is spent rigging stunts for many of todays popular films (like the Batman series), in addition to hiking, climbing, and skiing throughout Idaho and the western United States.
