Private Climbs in Peru
with
Maximo Henostroza
Trip Overview
Mountain
Experience can arrange a private climb or trek with an experienced UIAGM local mountain in
Peru. Maximo Henostroza, a Mountain Experience guide, is available to lead your private
program in Peru. We can assist you with all your trip requirements here in the United
State, and you can meet up with Maximo in Huaraz, and begin your private program there.
In addition to
leading many of our "organized and advertised" climbs and treks, we also
"exclusively book" clients from the United States with our Peruvian partner,
Maximo Henostroza. We can easily arrange private climbs and treks with him in Peru, and
tailor your program to fit your needs, goals and desires. These programs allow
participants to experience Peru with a smaller party and with a local guide. Please allow
at least 2-4 months to make these arrangements with Maximo. As an option, these same
programs can be arranged to be led by a western guide and Maximo, if your group prefers
Programs will vary in terms of
objectives, and include Huascaran, Alpamayo, Pisco, and many other mountain and overland
treks from easy to the more difficult.
Our private climbers and trekkers will meet in Lima, Peru,
and then travel via private transport to the small town of Huaraz, at the base of the Cordillera Blanca, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges
in the world. Climbers and trekkers will spend some time in Huaraz acclimating on local
hikes and reviewing basic high altitude breathing and walking techniques, which will help
the group with their upcoming goals. Gear checks and a trip orientation will be covered
during our evenings and free time in town.
Our private programs will close in Huaraz, with a Peruvian
celebration dinner and farewell to all of our new found friends and climbing partners!
Participants will leave the next day for Lima and that night for flights homeward bound.

Background
Requirements
Fitness: Most of the climb days in Peru
typically require around 4-10 hours of effort, but some days can be as long as 14-16 hours
at high altitude on our summit attempts. Because of this, we recommend all participants be
in a rigorous physical training program for several months prior to trip departure. Check
our Training Overview for more
information and training tips.
Experience: Participants should have
completed a basic mountaineering course and have experience using crampons and ice axe, or
have equivalent experience. High altitude experience is not required, but is beneficial.
Finance Notes: Please note that there
are no refunds made on our private programs (see our reservation
information for additional details). |
